Requested Agenda Item Description: Parks and Recreation requests to recognize $225,000 in revenue and expense to establish a new project repairing sections of Parley's Trail.
The segment to be repaired is 16 years old. The project will address numerous drainage issues, and seal cracks or install new asphalt overlay where necessary. It will provide a safe surface for users and extend the life of the pavement. The funding comes from two sources, the Utah Office of Economic Development Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant ($75,000) and Office of Regional Development 4th Quarter transportation funding ($150,000). This project was presented to the Council as one of the 4th Quarter Local Option Sales Tax transportation projects approved on 12/12/23.
No new County dollars are requested.
