2024 Annual Training Concerning the Requirements of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act

Requested Agenda Item Description: Utah Code Ann. § 52-4-104 requires that the presiding officer of each public body ensure that the members of the public body are provided with annual training about the requirements of the Utah Open and Public Meetings Act. The Council’s legal counsel will provide Councilmembers with this required training, which will also include information about amendments made to the Open and Public Meetings Act as adopted by the Utah Legislature in House Bill 36 of the 2024 legislative session.
