Requested Agenda Item Description: The Golf section of Parks & Recreation requests to establish a new project with a $123,000 budget to install a backflow prevention valve at Riverbend Golf Course.
Riverton City requires backflow valves to maintain a safe water supply for residents, and the lack of a valve at Riverbend was discovered during a recent assessment by the Riverton City Water Department. The course is required to have the valve installed prior to opening in Spring, so this request is unable to follow our normal capital project request process. This project will be funded by the Golf Fund's available balance.
