Requested Agenda Item Description: Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company has requested a fee waiver request for space rental and associated fees for use of the Jeanne Wagner Theater for the Joan Woodbury Celebration of Life event on April 7, 2024. Joan Woodbury passed away in late 2023. As a founding member of the Ririe-Woodbury Company, Ms. Woodbury was foundational in developing Salt Lake County as a national hub for modern dance and developing many of the services, programs, and venues that are core to the arts & culture community of Salt Lake County today. This fee waiver is requested in acknowledgement of Joan’s lifetime of contributions.
This Fee Waiver Request was approved unanimously by the Arts & Culture Advisory Board on January 25, 2024, for recommendation to Mayor and Council.
