This position will be 100% funded with an existing coordinated entry grant; and will work out in the community to ensure unsheltered individuals are connected with the coordinated entry program and able to obtain housing with appropriate services.

Requested Agenda Item Description: The Office of Homelessness, and Criminal Justice Reform is requesting a Time Limited FTE to work in HUD Coordinated Entry. The position would be funded using an existing coordinated entry grant. Ending homelessness requires connecting individuals in need with the appropriate housing and services to ensure their long-term success. We have a well-developed coordinated entry system to assess individual needs and prioritize the most vulnerable for housing and services resources.
To ensure people who are homeless and high need are able to access coordinated entry, we request to add a Coordinated Entry Navigator to work out in the community to ensure unsheltered individuals are connected with coordinated entry and able to obtain housing with appropriate services. The proposed start date for the position is
10/01/2023, with annual salary and benefits of $71.4K. The 4th quarter 2023 expense would be $17.8k.
