Requested Agenda Item Description: Salt Lake Legal Defender Association (LDA) and Utah Juvenile Defender Attorneys (UJDA), the County’s primary adult and juvenile criminal defense services providers, have a material conflict of interest for the aggravated murder case State v. A.P. This one-time request is to fund a contract with a private defense attorney to step in and replace LDA and UJDA through the trial or other resolution of the case.
