Budget Adjustment: The Sheriff’s Office requests to transfer $2M from the Oxbow Jail Control room project to upgrade the security system at the ADC.

Requested Agenda Item Description: The jail’s security touch panel system was designed and built using existing hardware with (then) newly developed software. The aged hardware is wearing out and degrading, resulting in operating problems in the system. The project also includes a software upgrade to assure ongoing functionality.
The Sheriff's office would like to request to reallocate $2 Million dollars to this new emergent project from the $6 Million project for the Oxbow Jail Control Room since that project has been placed on hold. As this project has a large operational impact they are hoping to get this project moving as soon as possible.
