Requested Agenda Item Description: In December 2022, the County Council approved the Onyx Lane Safe Sidewalk for the White City Metro Township as part of the 4th Quarter local option sales tax. After it was approved by Council, White City was notified that they had received funding as a result of a competitive process from UDOT’s Safe Routes to School Program. Shane Ellis, project manager from Salt Lake County Engineering, has asked that the $404,700 awarded to Onyx Lane Safe Sidewalk be transferred to partially fill a $800,00 funding gap on a similar project in White City Metro Township, the Sego Lily Drive Safe Sidewalk project that goes from 700 East to Flint Drive and includes sidewalk on both sides of the roadway as well as adding bike lanes and traffic calming measures.
