Requested Agenda Item Description: Salt Lake County Parks & Recreation respectfully requests your consideration of the following renewal and nominees for the Open Space Trust Fund Advisory Committee:

Kael Weston is an at-large member whose first term ended in December 2021. Kael is interested in completing a second te1m and provides extensive policy experience and government relations skills.

Carrie Butler would represent district 5 and brings a unique and much needed public health perspective. She is interested in improving quality of life, health, and the overall cost of caring for our communities and recognizes the value open spaces provide to health and wellness.

Benjamin Cook has deep roots in Utah and would represent district 6. He has a passion for data-driven, community-focused, problem-solving decisions, and, as a single professional, brings a perspective outside the traditional family-user viewpoint.

Bennion Gardner would represent district 2, is active in community engagement, and founded the Oquirrh Foundation to increase preservation and awareness of the importance of open space.

Deborah Gatrell would be an at-large member and is a long-tern educator and Utah National Guard pilot with a strong passion for future open space planning.

Lastly, Angela Gong would be an at-large member who brings environmental science, research, and finance skills to the committee. She moved to Utah because of the incomparable outdoor opportunities and is passionate about making open spaces available for all who live in and visit Salt Lake County.
