Requested Agenda Item Description: We are offering for your consideration the appointment of three {3) applicants for the Sugar House Park Authority, Richard Layman, Roxanne Christensen and Jacqueline Rosen (resumes and applications attached).

Mr. Layman was approved by the Sugar House Park Authority earlier this year to fill a vacancy created by a resignation. He has extensive experience in the public sector with community development and land use planning in Washington DC. He will be an asset to the Board in helping navigate its unique relationship with the City and County.

Ms. Christensen was one of several well-qualified applicants for the position. Her skills in marketing, design and social media are a particularly good fit for the Sugar House Park Authority's needs. She's being asked to fill a position that will become vacant upon October 31st, 2022, due to term limits for board members.

Jacqueline Rosen, a lawyer with the firm Fabian Van Cott, was selected to fill position that will become vacant upon October 31st, 2022, due to term limits for board members. She will be replacing an attorney on the Board. Additionally, the Board enjoys its longstanding relationship with Fabian Van Cott, as Harold Fabian served as the first chair of the Authority.

Sugar House Park is governed by the Sugar House Park Authority, a non-profit organization created in conjunction with Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County in 1957. The Park Authority has a nine-member Board of Trustees, seven of whom
