Requested Agenda Item Description: Salt Lake County owns fee title to two parcels of real property located at 9045 South Magna Main Street, Magna, Utah, Parcel No. 14-30-209-001 and at 9033 West Magna Main Street, Magna, Utah, Parcel No. 14-30-209-003. Salt Lake County has adopted the Magna main Street Community Development Project Area Plan, which is administered by the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake County. Pursuant to the Plan, the Agency may acquire and dispose of real property to achieve the objectives of the Plan. The Agency has offered to purchase the County Property for $183,000.00, which has been reviewed and approved by Salt Lake County Real Estate Division as a fair market value for the County Property. The County and the Agency have negotiated to convey the County Property pursuant to the terms and conditions of a Real Estate Purchase and Sale Agreement (“Purchase Agreement”) attached hereto as Exhibit 1. It has been determined that the best interests of the County and the general public will be served by conveying the County Property to the Agency as proposed in the attached Purchase Agreement. The conveyance of the County Property will comply with all applicable state statutes and County ordinances.
