Budget Adjustment: Parks and Recreation’s Request for $2,100 Funding Shift for an Increase to the Jordan River Commission Contribution

Requested Agenda Item Description: The adopted budget includes a contribution to Jordan River Commission in the amount of $41,200 for the county’s membership and partnership with the commission. This contribution is allocated in the Parks and Recreation budget.
By interlocal, Salt Lake County’s 2022 required membership contribution increased by $2,100. This request requests an increase in the contribution to the Jordan River Commission and allocates the amount to make the full required membership contribution of $43,300. This amount will be absorbed within Parks and Recreation’s budget, no new county funding is requested.
The future year budget impact anticipates a membership contribution increase based on the county’s participation in the commission’s approved 2023 budget.
