Requested Agenda Item Description: Salt Lake County and Millcreek as defined by the Utah Interlocal Cooperation Act, Utah Code Ann. §§ 11-13-101 et seq. are authorized by the Cooperation Act to enter into this Agreement to act jointly on the basis of mutual advantage in order to provide facilities in a manner that will best suit the community. The County and the City have jointly been working to acquire a parcel of undeveloped real property, located at approximately 3885Millcreek Canyon Road, Millcreek Utah, 84109 On October 26, 2021, the Salt Lake County Council approved Resolution No.5908, authorizing a Real Estate Purchase Contract for the acquisition of the Property. Pursuant to negotiations, the City and the County now agrees Millcreek City will contribute $1,000,000.00 obtained from a Utah Office of Outdoor Recreation grant to help fund the purchase of the Property, the County agrees to contribute the remaining portion of the purchase price for the Property, and the County and the City agree to encumber the Property with a conservation easement.
