A Resolution of the Salt Lake County Council Authorizing Execution of the Attached Amendment No. 1 to the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with South Jordan City

Requested Agenda Item Description: On February 11, 2020, Salt Lake County and South Jordan City entered into an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement providing for the transfer of the South Jordan Fitness & Aquatic Center to the County. The County and the City have agreed to modify Section 1.2 of the Agreement to provide that the City shall convey the Rec Center to the County upon substantial completion of construction of the current phase of the Bingham Creek Regional Park. Section 3.2(g) of the Agreement requires that any amendment be made by a written document signed by both Parties. To this end, the Parties have prepared the Amendment No. One to the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit A Except as provided in the First Amendment, all other terms of the Agreement remain the same. The County has determined that it is in the public interest to approve the First Amendment.
