Requested Agenda Item Description: NAACP was founded in 1909 and local Salt Lake Branch in 1918. Mission: The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.
Dr. Angela Dunn will be presented with the Mr. Albert Fritz Civil Rights Award at this dinner. The County is asking to purchase a table in the amount of $1,000 to be filled by County employees, including the mayor, to celebrate her at this event.
