Description: After the March 18th, 2020 earthquake in the Salt Lake Valley, damage was sustained to the Rescue Mission’s main office and shelter rendering it unsafe to provide shelter to approximately 70 men. The Rescue Mission made a request to SLCo to lease the Marv Jensen Recreation Center, currently closed to the public, for a period of 30 days with possible extensions in place if needed to serve this homeless population.
