Description:  Salt Lake County owns two parcels of real property on either side of the Jordan River located at approximately 3148 South 1100 West and 1162 West 3300 South in South Salt Lake City, Utah (collectively, the “County Properties Dominion Energy Utah (“Questar”) is installing an underground pipeline and related gas transmission facilities along 3300 South. Questar has requested that the County sell to it a 30-foot wide perpetual easement across the southern portions of the County Properties to allow for the construction, maintenance, and repair of Questar’s underground gas pipeline and related facilities for the fair market value of $7,200.00. The County and Questar have prepared an Easement Grant wherein the County grants the requested Easement across the southern portions of the County Properties to Questar for the construction, maintenance, and repair of the Gas Facilities. It has been determined that the best interests of the County and the general public will be served by selling the Easement to Questar as provided in the terms and conditions of the Easement Purchase Agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A. The execution of the Easement Purchase Agreement and Easement Grant will be in compliance with all applicable state statutes and county ordinances.
