Recognition of 2018 Aging & Adult Services Giving Tree donors and community partners.

Description: Each year, the Salt Lake County Aging & Adult Services (AAS) division hosts The Giving Tree, a winter seasonal event that brings the community together to provide holiday gifts to vulnerable seniors. Aging & Adult Services erects a Christmas tree in the Government Center South Building and decorates it with ornaments that have the names and wish lists of older adults in need. This year, many community members and businesses again provided generous gifts for clients by picking ornaments from the tree and purchasing the requested gifts for participating seniors. Aging & Adult Services staff distributed the gifts during the last few weeks of December. Businesses and individuals also provided hygiene items that were used in bath kits for homeless seniors. We wish to thank those who provided substantial support at County Council meeting.
