Description: New state law says that violations of county ordinances will be infractions unless specified otherwise in the ordinance. DA’s office and Contracts and Procurement is presenting amendments which identify certain violations that should stay at the level of misdemeanor - specifically procurement conflicts of interest and ethics violations by county officers, collusion to limit competition among bidders should remain class B misdemeanors and material communications with proposers violations should be a class C misdemeanor.
