Description: The current ordinance was adopted in 1992 with the intent of preserving landfill space and prevent waste from outside Salt Lake County from coming into the Landfill. These changes allow waste from other area, but require all materials requested for acceptance be approved by UDEQ (Utah Department of Environmental Quality), SLVHD (Salt Lake Valley Health Department) and each landfill’s governing body prior to acceptance of such material.
