Description:   The 2018 Utah Legislature (SB 136) restructured UTA’s governance board to a three-member Board of Trustees.  The three-member board is made up of representatives from Salt Lake, Davis/Weber, and Utah/Tooele counites representing the UTA service area.  Mayor McAdams has accepted the recommendations of a selection committee after an application and interview process.  He has completed his interview of the nominees and is now ready to present them County Council for consent prior to forwarding the two names to Governor Herbert on or before July 31, 2018.  The Mayor’s office and selection committee are seeking concurrence on the selection of Laynee Jones and Mayor Troy Walker as the Salt Lake County nominees for the Utah Transit Authority Board of Trustees.
