Requested Agenda Item Description: Salt Lake County owns seven (7) parks commonly known as, Bruce Field Park, David Gourley Park, Impressions Park, Loder Park, Mountain Man Park, North Park, and South Park within the metro township of Kearns, and as described in the Quit Claim Deeds, attached as Exhibit A through G to the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement, attached hereto as Exhibit 1. The County desires to formally transfer and convey the Parks to Kearns, and Kearns desires to formally take and receive the Parks from the County, for the purposes and on the terms and conditions set forth in the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement and the Quit Claim Deeds. A public hearing was held on October 4, 2022, at the County Government Center to discuss the transfer of the above mentioned seven (7) Parks by Salt Lake County to the Township of Kearns. It has been determined that the best interests of the County, Kearns and the general public will be served by transferring ownership of the Parks, and by execution of the Interlocal Cooperation Agreement and the Quit Claim Deeds attached to this Resolution.
