Requested Agenda Item Description: This adjustment moves $8,000 from the salary line item to the operations budget. This adjustment will support the Youth Action Board (YAB) attending the National Alliance to End Homelessness conference in Washington DC to learn from other Youth Action Boards and meet with elected officials to talk about the needs of youth experiencing homelessness. One of the main purposes of this Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) planning grant is to provide training and professional development experience for the YAB. The YAB will be accompanied by two program staff from Salt Lake County Youth Services. This adjustment is also made in anticipation of utilizing temporary employees to support the work of the YHDP and serve as a liaison between the YAB, the Mayor's Office, and the Salt Lake Valley Coalition to End Homelessness.
