Requested Agenda Item Description: Our resettlement agencies: IRC and CCS are expecting to start receiving 765 Afghan refugees in October and being the first Certified County in the nation where most of the refugees coming to Utah would be resettled, Salt Lake County’s ability to assist our partners with resettlement is vital for successful resettlement of the new arrivals who have chosen here as their new home. Our partners in this effort have been invited to update the County Council on their resettlement plans, what gaps need to be filled. etc. and answer any specific questions the County Council may have.
