Budget Adjustment: The Health Department requests to add $138,712 to its budget from the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant. This 5-year federal grant, originally awarded to the Office of Regional Development (ORD) in 2021, is now being transferred to the Health Department. This 3rd year annual funding will support 1.75 FTEs time-limited Health Educators and programming costs to provide the services required by the grant.

Requested Agenda Item Description: County ORD transferred in 2024 a CDC 5-year federal grant "Improving Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Improving Grant" to Health who has become the direct recipient agency.
The duration of the grant period is from 9/21/2021 through 9/30/2026. This budget request is to recognize the 3rd year annual funding to support 1.75 FTEs time limited Health Educators and programming costs to provide the services required by the grant.
This is a budget neutral request with no impact on County funding.
