Budget Adjustment: Facilities Requests to Utilize $245,699 In Under-Expend Budget from Various Capital Projects in the Capital Improvements Fund to Fix the HVAC Systems at the Two District Attorney Buildings

Requested Agenda Item Description: There have been reoccurring HVAC issues since the DA buildings opened. It has been difficult to tell what just normal new building “kinks” was to work out vs real issues. We had a new commissioning agent come in and review the HVAC systems at both DA buildings. They identified a number of issues that need to be addressed that unfortunately were not identified or repaired when the building was completed. Making these fixes will increase performance of the HVAC systems, allow for better and more consistent temperatures, reduce maintenance calls, and increase energy efficiency in both DA buildings
