Budget Adjustment: The Office of Regional Development Requests to Recognize $1,829,581 in Additional Funding that Will Be Used as Part of the Required Matching Funds for the Upper Mill Creek Canyon Road Improvement FLAP Grant Project
Requested Agenda Item Description: Budget adjustments for the remaining amount approved for the County Match to the Federal Highway Administration FLAP project for re-construction of the Upper Mill Creek Canyon Roadway.
**$1,606,200 in Revenue to fund Salt Lake County's remaining Match obligation for this project, including:
Ø $750K from a Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant awarded in 2024
Ø $500K from a Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant awarded in 2025
Ø $356.2K transfer from the HB420 (2015) remaining upsent fund balance.
** $842,000 in Revenue from Rocky Mountain Power which will be passed thru to the Federal Highway Administration for a utility trench as part of the project. ($750K approved by the council in 2024 and $92K approved in January 2025).
**Expense of $1,829,581 which is the total amount owed to the Federal Highway Administration for the County and Rocky Mountain Power commitments less $618,619 previously budgeted ($1,606,200 + $842,000 - $618,619)
**In addition, $187,500 in Revenue and Expense which was previously budgeted in the General Fund related to this project is being released from Department 1025000700 as this project is being consolidated into one department.
