Budget Adjustment: South Towne Expo Center requests $95,000 from fund balance to replace their firewalls.

Requested Agenda Item Description: This budget adjustment requests $95,000 to replace the aging firewalls for the IT systems at the Mountain America Expo Center. A firewall in an IT system facilitates user access, security, and threat protection for the network. The current firewalls were installed in 2017 and are listed for end of support in 2023.
A year end 2022 Budget Adjustment for the firewall (Form ID 27103), that drew upon a strong favorable 2022 revenue variance to be budget neutral, was approved by the Council last Fall. Unfortunately, we were not able to utilize the funds appropriated by the 2022 Adjustment due to the fact the new firewall will have 2023 contract dates. This 2023 Pre-June Budget Adjustment requests to move the 2022 funds forward to 2023, by drawing upon Fund Balance.
