Budget Adjustment: The Landfill requests $350,000 to rebuild a compactor.

Requested Agenda Item Description: Complete rebuild of the engine, drivetrain, hydraulic system for 25% of the cost of purchasing a new compactor. Brand new is estimated to cost $1.3 million while the rebuild is estimated to cost $350k. Comes with a new 3 year/5000-hour warranty (same as a new piece of equipment). It would take 3-4 months to complete. Ordering a new compactor is 1.75 - 2 years out on delivery due to supply chain. Compaction is the number one goal in landfilling operations and this compactor is not currently operational. This is a balance sheet item and funding will come from the restricted cash account - equipment replacement fund.
