Update on the Little Cottonwood Canyon Draft Environmental Impact Statement and the Preferred Alternative Selection

Requested Agenda Item Description: UDOT began an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) in 2018 for Little Cottonwood Canyon and Wasatch Blvd in partnership with UTA, the US Forest Service, and Salt Lake City Public Utilities. The purpose of the EIS is to provide an integrated transportation system that improves reliability, mobility, and safety for all users on S.R. 210 from Fort Union Blvd through the town of Alta. UDOT’s presentation will provide a project overview and present the two Preferred Alternatives that best meet the project purpose and need while considering environmental impacts.
