Requested Agenda Title:

Budget Adjustment: Parks & Recreation Requests $100,000 from Golf Fund Balance to Replace the Submersible Transfer Pumps and Related Components at Old Mill Golf Course .

Requested Agenda Item Description: Golf requests to use fund balance to replace the submersible transfer pumps and related components at Old Mill Golf Course. This request includes the cost of the replacement pumps, additional parts and labor, and contingency.

The pumps supply the ponds with secondary water from the nearby canal, and the course's irrigation system draws from the ponds to water the course. Not irrigating the course leads to turf loss and impacts fertilizing and turf maintenance applications. Culinary water is available to use, but is cost prohibitive.

Golf planned to request replacement of these pumps next year. However, the pumps have failed now prompting immediate replacement. This request is exigent because the ponds will run dry without canal water pumping into them to replenish water used, putting the turf's health at risk.

This request will reduce Golf Fund balance.
