Update on Salt Lake County Multi-Jurisdiction Mitigation Plan
Requested Agenda Item Description: FEMA requires a hazard mitigation plan for certain types of non-emergency disaster assistance. These plans must be updated every 5 years. SLCo is updating our multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan as ours expires May 2025. This plan outlines a long-term strategy to reduce the impact of disasters on people, property, and the environment.
SLCo Emergency Management is providing information to the Salt Lake County Council regarding current efforts to engage the community and stakeholders in updating the county multi-jurisdictional hazard mitigation plan.
