A Resolution of The Salt Lake County Council Concerning the Continuing Funding of Public Safety Services Within a Municipality That is Located in a Designated Recreation Area
Requested Agenda Item Description: This resolution allows for ongoing funding to UFA for 12 months to mitigate public safety in the canyons. It also encourages USFA, UFA and Brighton to find additional revenue to fill the funding gap and for the Council to create and remove recreation zones as we develop on the westside and elsewhere. The resolution also requires that USFA and UFA report to us during our June and November budget workshops on how funding was used (roughly every 6 months).
