Budget Adjustment: Parks and Recreation Requests to Recognize $75,000 in Grant Funding from the Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant (UORG) Program for Maintenance Work on Parley's Trail Between Tanner Park and I-215

Body

Requested Agenda Item Description: Parks and Recreation requests an expense and revenue budget adjustment to recognize grant funding from the Utah Outdoor Recreation Grant (UORG) program for maintenance work on Parley's Trail between Tanner Park and I-215.

SLCo received a UORG to fund repair work on Parley's Trail specifically sealing cracks and repaving the trail surface. The grant requires a 50/50 match which has been provided by the Office of Regional Development. The maintenance work is scheduled to be completed by May 2025, with the contract expiring on September 30, 2026. Recognizing this funding now ensures that the project budget accurately reflects the available resources, allowing the work to proceed on schedule. Reimbursement will be requested upon project completion.

No new County dollars are being requested.
