Budget Adjustment: The County Jail and Facilities Management request to consolidate two projects into the Adult Detention Center (ADC) Kitchen Remodel project to enhance scheduling and efficiency. The projects to be combined are: the ADC Kitchen Main Drain Pipe Replacement and the Oxbow Kitchen Remodel.

Requested Agenda Item Description: Facilities Management and the Sheriff propose combining two projects into the ADC Kitchen Remodel. Funding was allocated for the ADC kitchen main drain line replacement. Moving this scope of work into the ADC kitchen remodel will help with efficiency and scheduling as opposed to a standalone project taking place at the same time in the same area. The Oxbow Kitchen remodel was funded to support meal preparation and delivery during the ADC Kitchen Remodel. It has been determined, by the project team, that preparation and delivery of meals can be done more efficiently from the ADC, with the refrigerators and freezers still being used at Oxbow for ingredient storage. Therefore, we request to move the funds from the Oxbow Kitchen remodel to the ADC kitchen remodel. This will allow the team to buy equipment to be used at the ADC for meal heating and distribution during the remodel and then be installed and used after the remodel is completed.
